I've been a big fan of Rodney Smith for a long long time now and I have to say, Roots Manuva has outdone himself this time round.

His first album 'Run Come Save Me' was incredible and will always have a special meaning for me musically. HOWEVER, his new album 'Slime and Reason'....I honestly can't put it into words...this album is...ASTOUNDING. Each track is produced by a different artist (such as Metronomy, Toddla T and Theo Gordon) and a few other MC's/Artists have made vocal offerings as well.

The album starts off with his brilliant new single 'Again and Again' and is filled out in the middle with some incredibly soulful tracks such as 'Let the Spirit' produced by Metronomy and 'Do Nah Bodda Mi' featuring Mr. Versatile. The Album is ended with some alternate mixes and reworks of the first few songs on the album. There are twenty one tracks on the two CD set so theres plenty to keep you busy.

I HIGHLY recommend that you all go out and buy the album right away but if you want to have a listen to some of the tracks now then you can as I've included three tracks from the album and a classic from the first aswell. Enjoy.
